For years I was captivated by the extraordinary aquamarine ring she wore later in life. It was glamorous, powerful, and unforgettable. A large emerald cut aquamarine set simply in gold. Bold without being excessive.

That image stayed with me for years.

The Moment Everything Began
When I finally received my first aquamarine gem, something unexpected happened.
One of my dearest friends Keri came to see the stone. The moment she saw it she became emotional and began to cry. She told me that owning an aquamarine ring had always been her dream.
In that moment the first aquamarine ring I ever made was not for me.
It was for her.
Designing that ring became the true beginning of my aquamarine journey. My own ring came second.
Moments like that are why I love making jewelry. The most meaningful pieces are never just objects. They become part of someone's story.

Why Aquamarine
Aquamarine has a very special presence.
Its color is soft yet luminous. A clear ocean blue that feels elegant and timeless. Unlike many gemstones, aquamarine manages to feel dramatic and refined at the same time.
For me it also carries personal meaning.
Aquamarine is my son's birthstone, which makes working with this gemstone especially meaningful.
Jewelry should always carry a story. Every aquamarine ring I create carries a little piece of mine.
The Stones I Work With
Because the stone is the star of the design, the aquamarine must be exceptional.
For these rings I work closely with a trusted gem dealer who sources extraordinary emerald cut aquamarines. Each stone is carefully selected for its clarity, color, and proportions.
Most of the stones I work with range from 4 to 10 carats, large enough to make a statement while still remaining elegant and wearable.
The emerald cut is particularly beautiful for aquamarine. Its long facets allow light to travel through the stone and highlight its incredible transparency.
When the stone is this beautiful, the design should simply let it shine.
When Word of Mouth Creates a Ring
One of my favorite stories happened unexpectedly.
The friend who received the very first aquamarine ring, Keri, was wearing it one day when someone noticed it. Her name was Colleen and she asked Keri where the ring came from.
A few days later Colleen contacted me.
She had decided she wanted an aquamarine engagement ring and I had the honor of creating it for her.
Jewelry often travels through people and through stories. One ring leads to another.

Why These Rings Are Made by Request
From time to time clients reach out after seeing one of these rings and ask if I could create one for them as well. Each project begins with finding an exceptional stone and designing a setting that allows the aquamarine to truly shine.

Each stone is unique and sourcing aquamarines of this quality takes time. Because of that I prefer to create these rings by special request for clients who fall in love with the idea of owning one.
