When someone asks me which piece of jewelry they should buy first, my answer usually surprises them.
I don't tell them to buy the biggest diamond or the most expensive piece.
I tell them to start a charm collection.
Not because it's fashionable. Quite the opposite.
A charm necklace is one of the few pieces of jewelry that becomes more meaningful with time. It grows with you, collecting memories, milestones, and little reminders of the life you're building. Unlike most jewelry, it is never really finished.
I think that's what I love most about it.
Growing up in Italy, jewelry wasn't something we saved for special occasions. It was part of everyday life. The pieces people wore became part of their identity. They were worn, loved, repaired, passed down, and worn again. The jewelry became richer because of the life it witnessed.
That philosophy has stayed with me, and it's one of the reasons I created The Charm Collector Necklace.
